* Jacob Dahlstrup: Banana Boat and other curiosities

Here is a fun play on the term banana boat. I have to imagine an installation of rotting bananas in a gallery has to strike a couple of memories in the old factory glands. I remember one year in High School I was cleaning out my locker and I found a petrified banana, from lunch several months past. Not that this reminds of that artistically, just thought I would share.
His other work looks pretty good too. Jump on over!

Always I am impressed by things that are far beyond my limitations. Pencil tip sculptures are definitely one of those things. My micro motor skills aren’t that developed.

This is a pretty great idea to do with old scratch off tickets, romance novels and other bits of shinny paper. It is as if the artist team harnessed the curiosity of the Raccoon for this project. Lets pick up things bright and shiny.
Well Done.

This is some of Suzanne Husky’s art work. So many different things to choose from. She is the type of artist that I would love to see fill a full museum floor with work. There is so much variety it would be great to see how all the different things old and new play together. It is exciting to think about.
